Concrete Paving & Driveway Installation in DFW
We design and pour durable concrete driveways, slabs and paved surfaces that boost curb appeal and stand up to daily use. From demolition of the old surface through site prep and finishing, we deliver a clean, start-to-finish concrete project built to resist cracking and last for years.
Concrete in North Texas has to deal with clay-heavy soil, temperature swings and the occasional severe summer. A driveway that looks great at installation but cracks and heaves within five years is a sign of poor base preparation, undersized thickness or missing control joints — not an inevitable result of Texas conditions. We have been pouring concrete in the DFW area since 1983 and build each project with the base depth, rebar and joint spacing it takes to hold up long-term.
Danny's Bobcat Services is family-owned and has served the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex since 1983. We are licensed and insured, work on both residential and commercial projects, and provide free, no-obligation estimates.

How we work
We start with a free site visit to discuss dimensions, drainage needs and finish preferences. If there is an existing surface, we demolish and haul it off first. We then excavate to the correct depth, bring in base material, compact it in lifts, set forms and any required rebar, and pour your concrete. After finishing and curing we cut control joints to the correct spacing so the slab manages shrinkage where you want it — not randomly across the surface. You get a project timeline and written estimate before any work begins.

Common questions
How long does a new concrete driveway take?
Most residential driveways are demolished, formed and poured within two to three days, plus a minimum of seven days curing time before heavy vehicle use. We provide a full project timeline with your written estimate.
Do you remove the old driveway first?
Yes. Demo and haul-off of the existing surface is included in our start-to-finish service. We do not pour over existing concrete — proper base prep on a clean surface is what gives you a long-lasting result.
How do you prevent concrete from cracking?
The three keys are base preparation, slab thickness and control joints. We excavate to the correct depth, compact the base in layers, pour at the right thickness for the load (typically 4 inches for passenger vehicles, 5–6 for heavier use) and cut control joints at the correct spacing so shrinkage goes where it should. Texas clay soil and heat make base work especially important — we do not skip it.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Most residential driveways in DFW are poured at 4 inches with rebar or wire mesh reinforcement. If you park RVs, boats or heavy trucks, 5 to 6 inches is a better spec. We discuss your use case and recommend the right thickness during the estimate visit.
Should I choose concrete or gravel for my driveway?
Concrete has a higher upfront cost but lasts 25–40 years with minimal maintenance and looks clean year-round. Gravel is significantly cheaper to install and can be done quickly, but needs periodic regrading and topping up. We install both and can walk you through the trade-offs for your specific property and budget.
How much does a concrete driveway cost in Dallas?
Driveway cost depends on square footage, site access, whether demo of an existing surface is needed and the thickness specified. We provide free on-site estimates so you get an accurate number before any work starts. Call (972) 557-2600 to schedule.
How long before I can drive on the new concrete?
We recommend waiting at least seven days before light passenger vehicle use and 28 days before heavy vehicles. Curing time is especially important in summer heat — we advise on keeping the surface moist during the first few days if temperatures are extreme.
Do you pour concrete for garages and patios as well?
Yes. We pour concrete for detached garage slabs, parking pads, workshops, covered patios, walkways and sidewalks. If you have multiple concrete needs on the same property, combining them into one project often saves on mobilization cost.
